iwh0 driver updated on 0.8 Beta? Also quick user group question!

Hi guys,

I've managed to move house and get an 8Mbps internet connection :-)

Since I have a router that supports multiple ESSID's I created a wep
encrypted WLAN and tied OpenSolaris into it which is as far as it goes
as the driver doesn't have WPA2 capability yet......

Belenix Alpha 0.8 has a similar driver but doesn't allow me to connect
via wep. Because I'm using Alpha does this release have an earlier
driver then OpenSol b111 'stable' with latest updates??

If I plug my notebook in to wired LAN connection and update to Beta will
I have full wep connectivity??

scanpci -v gives me this:

pci bus 0x0002 cardnum 0x00 function 0x00: vendor 0x8086 device 0x4237
Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 5100 AGN [Shiloh] Network Connection
CardVendor 0x8086 card 0x1211 (Intel Corporation, Card unknown)
STATUS 0x0010 COMMAND 0x0046
CLASS 0x02 0x80 0x00 REVISION 0x00
BIST 0x00 HEADER 0x00 LATENCY 0x00 CACHE 0x10
BASE0 0xd8700000 SIZE 8192 MEM
BASEROM 0x00000000 addr 0x00000000
MAX_LAT 0x00 MIN_GNT 0x00 INT_PIN 0x01 INT_LINE 0x0b

Also just to quickly ask: as some of you may now be aware I have moved
to Turkey and am planning to create an OpenSolaris user group out here
since the current TOSUG isn't active even after speaking with the leader
in person!

What I would like to do is create a Belenix user community amongst our
folk and really spread the word and perhaps one day get people out here
to assist in the development of Belenix like I have tried to do in my
limited capacity :-)

Is this possible or should this be tied into the OSUG which I am about
to create???

Many thanks and best regards,

Kaya

Yeah I agree which is probably better to go for the OSUG......

So far Linux is sort of the limit for people as far as what they know of
UNIX like operating systems. I think this will be a good exersize though
to try to weine people off the 'only thing other then MS out there is
Linux' route.
